A pledge was administered by the Director CIRB to all officers/officials of the Institute on 31st October, 2016. Director sensitized the staff about the zero tolerance towards corruption and transparency in day-to-day working. He also emphasized the importance of public participation in eliminating corruption.



Essay-writing competition

Essay-writing competition on the topic   “Public Participation in Promoting Integrity and Eradicating Corruption" in English and “अखंडता को बढ़ावा देने और भ्रष्टाचार को समाप्त करने में जनता की भागीदारी" in Hindi was conducted amongst the employees of the Institute and their family members.

Different posters/placards related to anti-corruption were displayed at prime location in the office.

The Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed at JNCH from 26.10.2015 to 31.10.2015. This year the theme for observing Vigilance Awareness Week is “Preventive Vigilance as a tool of good Governance”. On this occasion, the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House, Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, Zone – II shall administer a pledge to the officials working in Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House, Nhava-Sheva, Mumbai Zone-II at 11:30 AM on 26.10. 2015 at JNCH.

All officers of Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House, Nhava-Sheva, Mumbai, Zone – II are directed to remain present at First Floor, Reception Desk, JNCH by 11:15 AM to take oath.

It is also proposed to hold an Essay competition during the Vigilance Awareness week on the following topics;
a. Preventive Vigilance as a tool of good Governance.
b. Use of technology in vigilance.
The Essay on the above topics may be written either in Hindi or English. The Essay should be limited to 500 words.
All staff members of JNCH are requested to take active part in the Essay competition. The first two best adjudged essays will be given token cash award.
